Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD)

Bone mineral densitometry is a method to measure bone mineral density . With age , bone density decreases , bones become thin, thus the risk of fracture increases. BMD determines how much the bone loss is in a person , according to the young age group and the peers . The risk of fracture which is defined as Frax is calculated by evaluating BMD results togehter with the clinical findings and personal medical history.
