Infection Control in Workplace

Laboratory tests based on the carrier examination (in accordance with the circular numbered 2005/9 of the Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Primary Health Care Services) are as follows:

  • Stool Culture (for Salmonella and Shigella, at least once a year)
  • Microscopic examination of stool (for Entamoeba, histolytica cysts, giardia lamblia cysts and helminth eggs, at least every six months)
  • Throat and Nasal Culture (for Staphylococcus aureus, at least once a year)
  • Chest X-ray (for tuberculosis, at least once a year).

Laboratory tests for the carrier examination in our laboratory are carried out within the framework of these principles.
